Webinars Now Available Each Thursday

We have been busy working on a new way to help our customers maximize their investment in the Construction Monitor and shorten the learning curve all at the same time.

After talking with many of our relatively new customers recently, the same suggestion kept popping up and it sounded something like this... "Wow, I wish I would have known that I could do that with the permit reports"

So we are implementing live training every week. Each Thursday at 1:00pm Mountain Time (Noon Pacific Time) we will hold the half hour online meetings. We will have different topics and different presenters each week. You will even hear from the CEO at least once a month and have the opportunity to ask qustions and make suggestions in the Q&A portion of the meetings.

Changes In Top Builders All Over The West

Now that we have collected permit data for the first half of 2010, I took some time to compare the top producing builders of this year to last year.

Not only is volume up across the board but many markets like Las Vegas, Riverside, Orange County, Portland, Stockton, San Francisco East Bay, San Diego, San Bernardino, Seattle and others have seen a new #1 builder for 2010.

Many markets are seeing several changes not only the #1 but #2, #3 and other spots are being filled by different builders than last year.

We have also made a change to the top builder report for single family homes in that we have moved the Owner-Builder category down to it's own spot on the stats page. Traditionally they were among the top 10 in almost every market and still produce many homes each year as a group, but will no longer be listed alongside traditional building companies.

Portland - Vancouver New Home Permits Increase Over Last Year

I was asked if new home construction is up over last year in the Portland-Vancouver area, so I looked it up in our online statistical reports.

Sure enough the new home construction activity is up over the same time last year - Way Up!
