Construction Employment Stats July 2022
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) reported employment increases in every construction industry sector in July. Nonresidential construction employment led the way: There were 7,706,000 employed construction workers in July vs. 7,674,000 in June 2022, with a 32% year-to-year increase and +29% year-to-date in construction starts.
Compared to other employment occupations, construction workers’ hourly wages were also higher in July ’22 ($34.75/hour). Construction employment stats included:
